Silicone Injections Gone Wrong Part 2

Hello again!

I would like to share another story with you about a young lady who received Black Market silicone injections. Sharing these stories is helping to spread awareness about the dangers of these injections, and hopefully put an end to them.

British Student named Claudia Aderotimi died after going to America for an illegal " buttocks augmentation surgery" in hopes of having a larger, round shape backside that would make her a Hip Hop star.

Aderotimi, only 20 years old, believed that a " bigger butt" would help her gain popularity and land a role in Hip Hop music videos, her friends claimed after her death in February 2011.

One friend revealed that the aspiring dancer (stage name Carmella London) was not successful in receiving a role in a video shoot because the directors had discovered that she was wearing padded underwear to make it seem as if she had a large buttocks.

Talent scout Tee Ali, who had met and spoke with the dancer told the media " she was a dancer and a choreographer. The problem was she didn't have a butt, and that she wanted one."

Ali shared the time when she attended a video shoot they both were at. He said " she went to audition for one video shoot wearing fake booty pads and received all the attention, but when they found out it wasn't real, she didn't get a call back".

He began to describe her as a victim of social pressure to be perfect which led her to have low self esteem, and that she thought a larger bottom would make her famous.

Aderotimi flew to Philadelphia to receive silicone injections from an unlicensed practitioner, who was known to perform the surgery for half the price.  She only paid 1,300 in pounds and the "doctor" who performed the surgery left right after, and wasn't around when Aderotimi started to have pains. She developed chest pains and struggled to breathe for 12 hours after she had the illegal silicone injections done at the Hampton Inn hotel located in Philadelphia. She was taken to the hospital, but it was too late to save her.

A preliminary examination found that the silicone injections had leaked into her bloodstream, which eventually led to heart failure.

Philadelphia Detectives launched an investigation to see if she was treated with cheap industrial silicone normally used as a sealant, rather then medical grade material.

All because she wanted to be a Hip Hop star and fit the image that the Hip Hop industry presents in their music videos, and speak about in their lyrics; the desire to have a woman of color with a large buttocks by their side and shaking their hips in their music videos.

Such a beautiful young lady aswell.  RIP Claudia Aderotimi

I hope that the readers that are reading this realize how serious this desire to receive a large buttocks has become over the past couple years, and can get an idea of how the Hip Hop industry plays a role in this.
